1800's Soda Bottles - Hutchinson and Blob Top Styles

1800’s Soda Bottles – Hutchinson and Blob Top Styles

Stop by the 45th Annual Antique Bottle and Jar Show this Sunday to see thousands of colorful antique glass and stoneware bottles.  Over the past 20 years, I have found hundreds of historic bottles at this show which I’ve added to my collection. Bottle dealers from many states will be there selling soda and beer bottles, fruit jars, stoneware pottery, Breweriana, whiskey jugs, milk bottles, insulators, and other vintage advertising items. You can learn about the history of communities through these relics and have fun meeting new collector friends.

Antique bottles can be very valuable, ranging from a few dollars up to several thousand dollars each. The value is determined by rarity, company name, location, product, age, style, color and condition. Collectors often start looking for bottles from their hometown area because they enjoy the history. Others look for a particular style of bottles, jars or jugs. Examples of all styles will be at the St. Louis Antique Bottle and Jar Show. I plan to be at the show, so stop by my table and say hello!
