Old Shay Ale Tin Over Cardboard Beer Sign. Ca. 1930s

Here’s a really good looking Tin over Cardboard (TOC) sign from the Fort Pitt Brewing Company for one of their flagship brands, Old Shay Ale. Tin over cardboard style signs were originally used around 1915 by a few breweries and other industries, but the vast majority of them started to be used in the 1930-1940s era which accounts for 90+% of the signs found today across many advertising product segments.
