John Graf's Brewery Lithograph, Milwaukee, WI. Circa 1890

Featured here is a beautiful lithographic print from the John Graf Brewing Company which was in Milwaukee, Wisconsin prior to prohibition. This lithograph features an amazing image of his brewery at the corner of Greenfield and 17th Street. The lithograph also promotes his Weiss beer brand of beverage, a commonly sold product in many of the Midwestern cities which a significant German heritage. Cities such as Milwaukee, Chicago, St. Louis and Cincinnati are all well known for having many Weiss Beer Breweries amongst their brewing community.


The John Graf Brewing Company was not only famous for their Weiss beer products, but for their perhaps more famous Grandpa Graf’s Root beer soda beverage. The Grandpa Graf product was one of the Midwest best selling soda pop’s for years prior to prohibition.
