The Meek Sign Company was the result of the dissolution of the Meek and Beach Company when in 1905 Jasper Meek suddenly announced “No one named Beach ever having been connected with us save for a few months in 1901, after February 15th the name Meek and Beach will be dissolved and the company will move forward as the Meek Company.  However, in 1906 Jasper Meek retired from the company so his sole tenure was short-lived.  By 1910 under different leadership the company changed it’s name once again, this time to The American Art Corporation., which later became The American Art Works, a company which would last for many years and become the most successful of all of the Coshocton based advertising producers.
