Chicago Biscuit Company Advertising Wood Clock, Circa 1900

Here is beautiful wooden clock in great condition from the Chicago Biscuit Company, circa 1900. This wood clock is in great condition, and has lettering in gold on the glass in front of the clock pendulum. Food products are not as easy to find, as most of their advertising dollars were spent on the product labels, negating the need for point of purchase advertising needs.

I cannot find much about the Chicago Biscuit Company, however it appears they were in business around 1900. What is apparent is they had a lot of well known competition, as the American Biscuit Company and the Union Biscuit Company both had established presence in Chicago. Those companies were national competitors, and therefore would have been tough to compete against. My guess is one of these larger companies ended up buying the Chicago Biscuit Co. out at one time, ending the companies existence given the limited amount of items I could find about the company
