The Red Raven Splits brand was sold before prohibition as an elixir for headaches, indigestion, and nausea. This brand was known to be a remedy for hangovers, and with the start of prohibition, the brand lost a massive amount of sales, and did not survive the great experiment, i.e., prohibition. Unfortunately with the start of prohibition, the effects on sales also put an end to the colorful serving trays the company produced in the early 1900’s.
