Here is a fantastic stoneware or pottery coffee pot with a beautifully colored emblem of a monk drinking Cardinal Coffee from the J. William Pope Coffee Company. The Cardinal brand of coffee was the companies trademark brand of coffee. Not much is known about the company or it’s origins, other than the company is listed as early as the 1880’s in Saint Louis, Missouri directories. If you have any J. William Pope coffee tins or other advertising memorabilia, I am a collector looking to buy these items also!
