Featured is a rather comical lithograph from the Garland Stove and Range Company which was based in Detroit, MI. This is a funny litho featured the claim “Please shut the door or beware of the dog”. The interesting thing is the image of what appears to be a bulldog with eye glasses and an old hat. The dog doesn’t appear to be too threatening, and seems like it is an old dog. Why the Garland Stove Company used this tag line is unknown to me. But certainly this image will get your guests who view it a laugh. I hope you enjoy it also!
