Wm. J. Lemp Brewing Co. Stoneware Stein, St. Louis, MO. Ca. 1900

Pictured here is a beautiful stoneware beer stein from the William J. Lemp Brewing Company which was formerly based in Saint Louis, Missouri before prohibition. The Lemp brewery produced the famous brand of Falstaff which later was sold throughout the United States in many brewery locations. This particular stoneware stein has a pewter lid and is one liter in size. Their are several variations of this, including 0.5 or 1/2 liter sizes of their Special Brew brand. All have the Falstaff logo on the top of them, and some of them have Monk’s on the side with just the Falstaff Lemp logo on the top lid. I buy Lemp Mug and Stein items, so if you have one, please let me know!!
